Jono Redden

Training & Competing:

1995: Jono Redden started training in Taekwondo and trained in this for 4 years reaching his Red Belt, Black Tag. 

In 1999 travelled to Thailand and was introduced to Muay Thai.  Started training at the well known Lanna Muay Thai Gym In Chiang Mai.

2000 – 2001: Returned to England and contuined training in Muay Thai at Bristol Muay Thai Gym.

Late 2001 Jono moved back to Thailand and started fighting for Lanna Muay Thai . He had 8 fights, 3 were in Gawilla Stadium, Chiang Mai. He also flew over to Perth, Australia where he fought (at short notice) for a Intercontinental Title against Dominic Devanna which was filmed and shown on Fox TV.

2002 Jono progressed to train at Sit Mon Chai Camp in Bangkok, training alongside Porn Sunnae Sitmonchai (former ranked No1 at Ratchadamnern 132lbs) and Changpeuk Sor Sriprasert (former ranked No1 at Ratchadamnern 154lbs).  During his time at Sit Mon Chai, Jono fought seven times and fought at Pattaya and the world reknown Ratchadamnern Stadium.

2004 Jono returned to England and trained at the well respected KO gym under the instruction of World Champion Bill Judd. He won all his fights out of KO gym and became an intermediate fighters trainer with a strong emphasis on kicks and clinching techniques.           

2008 Whilst continuing his Muay Thai Training, Jono started honing his boxing skills and training at Brighton ABC He is soon to be ABA carded.
